Hello OLA family,
This is my first review on my OLA S1 Pro. I have been riding S1 Pro for 3 months now and I have clocked 1300 kms so far.
There is no denying that weight plays a very crucial role in extracting the best range. I weigh 85kgs, and I still got the best range of 141kms* in my last charge. Now you may wonder how?
Well before diving into the details, let me tell you some of my back story in brief. In my 22yrs of riding have been a conversative rider my whole life. For nearly 16yrs I have been riding Karizma R and I have managed to extract the best of 571kms till it hit reserve i.e. in 12.5ltrs which come to 45kmpl… 520kms was regular range that I got.
And I apply that same riding style while riding OLA too. I gain a decent speed and let the regen braking engage when I know I have to slow down in traffic or when approaching a traffic signal.
I have seen many riders keep accelerating till the point where you have to stop the bike. This practice will waste your fuel/charge.
I ride my OLA in normal mode most of the time with regen braking set to default. I accelerate gradually, this way I put less stress on the battery and get good performance. I use less brakes and use regen or force regen majorly. This practice has helped me to get the best range from my OLA S1 Pro.
